The neri Elm has small serrated green leaves which have good yellow/bronze fall color. The trunk has a striking gnarled corky bark appearance hence the name Cork bark Elm. Deciduous. Chinese Elm (Ulmus Parvifolia) – 17″x18″x29″

Has small evergreen serrated leaves which is ideal for bonsai. Hardy, with excellent branching charachteristics. Has a heavy curved trunk with a fully exposed root system. Decideous. Rock Hornbeam (Carpinus Turczaninovii)

Native to Korea, China and Japan. Full size leaves are 2″ but reduce nicely as bonsai to create this attractive forest-like setting. New foliage is a deep bronze color which turns to a combination of red, orange and yellow in the fall. Produces hop-like flowers and seed pods when mature. Deciduous. Fukien Tea – Cascade (Carmona) – 37″x16″x19″

Native to the Fujan province of China, this tree has small white flowers that can bloom at any time. The foliage is dark green and small in size. The flowers turn into red berries that turn darker with age. Loves the heat and does great indoors. 43 years old. 37″x16″x19″. Ficus Tree (Ficus Benjamina “oriental”) – 30″ tall

Fig species which is native to South and South-East Asia. This evergreen tree is particularly good for bonsai training as they produce sturdy trunks, a nice branching shape and shiny leaves. Best to trim in early summer as the new leaves that subsequently grow will be smaller than the ones removed. Ours is trained in the traditional Banyan style.
