This dwarf Juniper from Japan is the most popular bonsai in the U.S. When we think of a traditional bonsai and what it should look like, we think of a “Juniper Procumbens Nana”. They are very hardy, long-lived and tolerate many adverse conditions. Trained in the traditional style, this Juniper Procumbens is popularly known as the “Karate Kid” tree. 9 years old. 12″ tall. Potted in a 7″ ceramic rectangle container as shown. Suitable 8″ x 6″ humidity tray is recommended.

Fig species which is native to South and South-East Asia. This Evergreen tree is particularly good for bonsai training as they produce sturdy trunks, a nicely branching shape and shiny leaves. Best to trim in early summer as the leaves that subsequently grow will be smaller than the ones removed. Ours is trimmed in the traditional Banyan style. Great for indoors year-round, the brighter the location, the more compact the growth. 40 years old 26″ tall. Shipped in pot as shown. Suitable 10.5″x14.5″ humidity tray is recommended. Also known as Banyan Fig. The Retusa has light green leaves which alternate up the stem and which are more oval than the Benjamina. Grey to reddish bark dotted with small horizontal flecks, similar to tiger-like markings. Among the most tolerant, versatile and trouble-free bonsai trees for indoor use. 14 years old. 18″ x 16″ x 17″ not including the slab. Potted on a 24″ free form vinyl-concrete aluminum reinforced composite slab which does not contain any chemicals that may be harmful to the tree. 25 lbs.
